Jacques Marie Mage Unfolds ÉDITIONS PLIABLES: A Compact Expression of Elevated Utility

Jacques Marie Mage has long been a standard-bearer for optical maximalism—where design heritage and mechanical complexity coexist within a frame. With the launch of ÉDITIONS PLIABLES, the Los Angeles-based maison reimagines eyewear through the lens of transformation: an idea in motion, refined.

At the heart of the collection is a three-fold mechanism—featuring additional hinges at the mid-temple and bridge—that allows each frame to collapse into a precisely engineered compact form. Part artifact, part companion, these limited-edition folding spectacles blend performance and beauty into a new category of luxury essentials. They’re not just made to be worn—they’re made to move.

In Roma, the Archibald arrives in a luminous dual-tone expression: Moon Gold and Silver, constructed with 2mm bottom and 4mm top eye-rims, joined by a Silver brow bar and Armorlite Sepia lenses. Just 300 pieces have been produced—an echo of the brand’s ongoing commitment to scarcity as a value proposition.

The Altan variant, available in RX optical form, features 2mm Silver eye-rims with Light Gold accents, paired with 4mm Light Gold uppers and temples in a gradient of Silver and Gold. Armorlite lenses in Superlight Bronze add nuance and tactility. Just 150 units of this version exist worldwide.

With ÉDITIONS PLIABLES, Jacques Marie Mage doesn’t just evolve form—it redefines how we carry, experience, and relate to eyewear. In a market where portability often trades off with elegance, JMM proves the two can co-exist—in perfect symmetry, in motion, and in style.
