The Other Glasses Debuts ‘Functional Jewellery’

In an era defined by quiet luxury and design-led restraint, emerging eyewear house The Other Glasses has positioned itself not just as a brand, but as a philosophy. Its debut titanium collection—presented under the evocative concept The Functional Jewellery—recasts the very essence of eyewear as a refined, architectural statement.

Founded in 2025, The Other Glasses has become a source of unexpected inspiration in the independent eyewear world. Backed by a multidisciplinary team of artists, the brand launched with a clear mission: to reimagine eyewear from its core essence and elevate it into a new object of permanence—precise, sculptural, and unrepeatable.

Their debut capsule, The Origins, brings this ethos into sharp focus. Crafted from aerospace-grade titanium, each frame is a structural meditation on design purity, finished with razor-edged bevels and surgical-level detailing. Every model is hand-assembled in the European Union, individually numbered from 001 to 300, and never reissued in other colorways. Like an artist’s signature series, each piece is unique, exclusive, and carefully crafted to maintain the highest standards.

But the story is not just one of material or manufacture—it is one of philosophy. The brand draws inspiration from Lucio Fontana for this collection, founder of the Spatialism movement, who challenged perceptions of space and form in art. In this spirit, The Other Glasses’ temple arms are conceptual extensions of Fontana’s ideas: minimalist yet dynamic, cutting through dimension with intent. These temples are not decorative—they are design in its truest sense: functional, reduced, refined.

“Form follows function” – From the flat lenses to the angular cutaways, every element serves a reason, and every decision serves the whole.

With Functional Jewellery, The OG has not just launched a collection—it has defined a vocabulary. One where frames are numbered like prints, and luxury is measured not in branding, but in intention.
